Project Description

Move Devon is a fully integrated mobility equipment hire website designed to make booking scooters, wheelchairs and other mobility equipment as simple as possible.

We designed and developed a complete online hire system that allows customers to browse available equipment, select their hire dates, enter their delivery location and complete their booking online.

The website includes a full inventory management system, ensuring equipment availability is managed around existing bookings. Stripe is integrated directly into the booking process, allowing customers to securely pay for their hire online.

We also integrated the Google Maps API into the system, enabling the website to calculate the customer’s delivery location and automatically work out the relevant delivery cost as part of the booking.

Alongside the booking functionality, the website was built with local SEO in mind, with dedicated service and location pages targeting mobility equipment hire across Devon.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Client Brief

Move Devon required a new website that would transform the way its mobility equipment hire service operated. The client needed more than a standard brochure website. The key requirement was to create a system where customers could independently browse mobility equipment, check availability, select their required hire dates and book and pay online. The website also needed to manage the company's equipment inventory so that products already allocated to another customer could not be double-booked. As Move Devon delivers equipment directly to customers across Devon, another important part of the brief was to automate delivery pricing. We integrated the Google Maps API so that customers can enter their delivery address and the booking system can automatically calculate the appropriate delivery cost based on their location. Stripe was integrated directly into the platform to provide a secure online payment process and complete the booking journey without requiring the customer to contact the business manually. The overall objective was to create a professional, easy-to-use website that could handle the complete customer journey — from finding the right mobility equipment through to booking, payment and delivery — while also providing Move Devon with a platform capable of supporting its continued growth across Devon.
