The way websites are attacked has changed dramatically. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, automated scanning tools and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, businesses can no longer rely on traditional website security measures alone.
At Falcon Digital, our server network currently blocks more than one million automated attack attempts every hour. Many of these attempts are carried out by automated systems searching continuously for outdated software, weak passwords, vulnerable plugins and other potential routes into websites.
To stay ahead of this evolving threat landscape, we are introducing a major upgrade to our website management and security infrastructure.
What is changing?
We are rolling out a new generation of security, monitoring and website-management technology across the websites covered by our maintenance and support services.
The upgrade will introduce:
- Advanced protection against automated and AI-assisted attacks
- Automated deployment of critical security updates
- Enhanced website and server monitoring
- Improved uptime monitoring and alerts
- Faster identification of software vulnerabilities
- More comprehensive ongoing website maintenance
- Earlier detection of suspicious activity and potential threats
These systems will work around the clock to identify risks, block malicious activity and help keep our clients’ websites secure and operational.
Why is this upgrade necessary?
Modern websites are constantly being scanned by automated bots. These systems may attempt to identify outdated plugins, compromised passwords, unprotected forms and other security weaknesses.
Artificial intelligence has made it easier for attackers to automate and scale some of these activities. An individual no longer needs extensive technical knowledge to launch sophisticated attacks against websites, servers and online services.
For businesses, a successful breach can result in:
- Website downtime
- Loss or corruption of data
- Disruption to business-critical services
- Damage to customer confidence
- Loss of enquiries or online sales
- Emergency repair and recovery costs
- Potential data-protection and regulatory consequences
Website security can therefore no longer be treated as a one-off installation. It requires continuous monitoring, regular updates and proactive management.
A proactive approach to website security
Falcon Digital is among a relatively small number of agencies investing in this level of advanced website management and protection technology.
Rather than waiting for a problem to occur, our new infrastructure is designed to identify vulnerabilities and suspicious activity as early as possible. Automated critical updates will also allow urgent security fixes to be deployed more quickly when new vulnerabilities are discovered.
No security system can guarantee that a website will never be targeted or compromised. However, proactive monitoring, secure hosting, timely updates and multiple layers of protection can significantly reduce the risk.
What do Falcon Digital clients need to do?
Most Falcon Digital clients with an active maintenance and support package will be covered by this upgrade.
We will onboard eligible websites to the new system in stages. Once a website has been successfully added, we will contact the client directly with confirmation and any relevant information.
In most cases, clients will not need to take any action while the upgrade is completed.
Continuing to invest in our clients’ protection
Technology is evolving rapidly, and website hosting and maintenance must evolve with it.
As one of the UK’s leading web design agencies, Falcon Digital is committed to investing in the infrastructure, expertise and security technology required to protect the websites entrusted to us.
This latest upgrade represents another important step in our move towards a more proactive, intelligent and resilient approach to website security—giving our clients greater protection and greater peace of mind.
